My grandmother reads a short poem called Hoy he roto tus cartas (Today I tore up your letters) that she wrote in 1981, two years after she and my grandfather got separated. With this poem she acknowledges that their relationship has ended.
Created for FemLink, the International Video-Collage, for the 2009 theme of Male.
A heartfelt Thank You to my beloved grandmother—my inspiration, accomplice, and collaborator in much of my work.
